If you did not finish Part 1 of the walk, you could start Part 2 by parking at St. Martha’s car park at Guildford Lane. From there, walk back 80 m toward St. Martha’s church along Pilgrim’s Way. Waypoint F is a small path off Pilgrim’s Way on your left.
The path takes you snaking gently downhill about 150 metre before banking left (G). You are halfway down the left of the valley where the small Tillingbourne river flows. On the other bank is Albury Mill, which at one time was a paper mill making banknotes.
Continue about 500 m until you reach a track road with a pond (Waterloo pond) on the left (H). Stay on the track toward the residential area of Albury Mill. If you continue on the left fork of the path, you can catch a glimpse of the Postford Pond.
Look for the sign for the footpath at the junction of a track (I). The path takes you across a large field of the Lockner farm. At the far end of the field, you reach Lockner Farm Lane. Follow this track and turn left back onto the footpath immediately after the small bridge over the Tillingboune (J).
On the left are the remains of the boiler and steam room. See details on Chilworth Gunpower Mill.
